George's Big Adventure

Daniel Flint and George the rat...Last August George set out on the adventure of a life time, and officially became the smallest member of the End to End Cub.

You see George is no normal End to Ender, George is a rat! In fact he is 12 year old Daniel Flint’s pet rat, and along with Daniel and his parents Jane and Greg, George travelled from Land’s End to John O’Groats and back again in a motor home.

The Journey took the family just over a week, and during that time George had quite an adventure, the family visited the historic city of York and whilst there they visited the famous York Dungeons, George decided that the dungeons were far too scary so he stayed in the motor home where it was safe. They also stopped off along the way to watch the Highland Games, all that caber throwing worried George (with him being so small) so he decided to watch the games from the window of the motor home, whilst Daniel, Jane and Greg had their first taste of Haggis. Finally they reached John O’Groats, it was so windy there that George was afraid he might get blown off of Daniel’s shoulder so he hid inside Daniel’s coat and ventured out when they reached the signpost to have their photograph taken.

Although George enjoyed his adventure it took him quite a while to get used to his motion sickness, but luckily Daniel was there to help him through, in George’s opinion the ground is not meant to move.

George really enjoyed his adventure and was amazed by the incredible scenery that he saw along they way, however if you ask George his favourite part of the trip was spending so much time with his best friend Daniel.
