George Mahood and Ben Cocks in their boxer shorts!Does kindness amongst strangers still exist today?

That’s the question that George Mahood and Ben Cocks set out to answer when they started their unusual End to End journey.

George and Ben left Land’s End on 2nd September 2006 in just their Union Jack boxer shorts; from there they had to rely purely on the kindness of strangers to provide them with clothes, transport, food and accommodation.

They completed the trip in just 18½ days without spending a single penny and along route they met some amazing people and were astounded by the kindness of strangers.

Thanks the generosity of those they met on route Ben and George arrived at John O’Groats fully clothed and on bicycles, they had accommodation every night whether it be a bed of straw with a prize bull for company or in a hotel and they rarely went hungry.

George and Ben were accompanied by a camera team who filmed their progress, from the footage they are hoping to produce a documentary a sneak peak of which can be found on www.youtube.com/fr££countrylejog

You can visit George’s website at georgemahood.com/Lejog for more information on their unusual journey.
