Award category D runner up Adrian Hall He and his wife Alison, who are from Derby, drove their 1959 Ford Anglia north in just 6 days enjoying some of their favourite places of interest along the way. Fellow enthusiasts Nigel and Stella Scott followed in convoy in their own Anglia. The journey was very nearly one that was over before it started, as the Anglia’s heater hose broke before it left the driveway. They were also troubled by the rain in Scotland and a rather leaky windscreen. They were however joined by other members of the Ford Anglia Club, who would do a few miles or a few hours of the journey in support. The tour took them to Bodmin moor, Glastonbury, Cheddar, up into Wales and through Blackpool and the Lake District. Once they were north of the border they travelled to the Glenfinnan viaduct and after driving the spectacular highlands and 2198 miles, reached John O’ Groats on the 27th June.
